Setting up a new email account

If you are unsure how to set up your email within outlook or similar packages please follow these simple steps:

STEP 1:- Show a Picture
Select Accounts from the tools menu 

Step 2:- Show Picture
Once the Accounts window has appeared select the mail option by pressing the Add button.
 
Step 3:- Show Picture
Now enter the name you wish your emails to be listed from.

Step 4:- Show Picture
Now enter the full email address that you wish your emails to be listed from. 
 
Step 5:- Show Picture
Next, enter the incoming and outgoing servers for your email to send and recieve. This will be mail.yourdomainname.com for both incoming and outgoing.

Step 6:- Show Picture
Now enter your full email address as this will be your account name to log on with, then enter the password you have been given. 

Step 7:- Show Picture

You must now select which method you will connect to the Internet by to send and recieve your emails. 

Step 8:- Show Picture
Complete - You have now set up your new email account once you see the screen below. 

Final Step:- Show Picture
Your email details will only have been set up with the bare information. It is a good idea to go back into the properties of the newly set up account and add in all the extra information such as your company name and reply address. You will also need to click the Servers tab and make sure the box is ticked that says My server requires authentication - This is important, if this isn't ticked you will not be able to send email.
